Oscars are cool but they don’t define a great actor/filmmaker
These are some of the greatest contemporary actors/filmmakers who don’t have an Oscar yet

- David Fincher

- Brad Pitt
- Edward Norton
- Michelle Williams
- Amy Adams
- and of course Leonardo DeCaprio
But then we have
- Stanley Kubrick
- Alfred Hitchcock
- Ingmar Bergman
- Akira Kurosawa
- Cary Grant
Who have never won an Oscar in their lives but have made some of the most iconic films in the history of film. So what is an Oscar really? A shiny gold naked man that says “these people like what you do.” It’s still an honor but not having one shouldn’t make someone less of an actor/filmmaker.
Leo should’ve gotten an Oscar ages ago.
